Steve Webb Models is a specialist retail supplier of model radio controlled aircraft, helicopters, cars and boats.

Steve Webb Models and Hobbies started trading in 1987. Steve had been an active modeller since a small boy and coming from a family that was in retail, it seemed a logical step to start his own model business. The Webb family have been in retail for over 50 years, so as well as having the 'model knowledge' they also know what is needed to run a successful business that keeps customers coming back. The original premises of 1 a church Street soon became too small and the shop was moved to the 80 Church Street location we now all know and love. One of the shop slogans is a fitting now as it was then, Steve Webb's was always known as the ' Small Shop with the Large Stock' . Despite Steve having suffered bad health in the last 10 years, he's still modelling - see the Gallery on site.

The larger premises resulted in an increase in business and Steve was joined by his Sister Ann- Louise to help cope with the expansion. The staff team grew as did the range of products stocked and Thirteen years ago we started a whole new side to business as well as the already successful retail side. The wholesale sister company - 'Enya U.K and SW Distribution' is the main importer and distributor of Enya Engines, Bolly Clubman and World Models A.R.T.F.

The business continues to expand it's customer base, it is still very much a family run, independent Business with a good reputation for mail order and service. Steve's dad is still to be found at the shop at the age of 80 and his mother still helps here and there. With full-time expert modellers Adrian Dean( Shop Manager),Dave Carr, Matt Lucas and other expert staff on hand at all times the shop is one of the largest independent model shops in the U.K. with Steve Webb Models Mail Orders being distributed all Over the World. Steve Webb Models continues to try and raise monies for Arthritic and Bone Disease 'related' charities and many of the thank you letters/receipts for monies raised by customers using the simulator and occasional eBay auctions and staff/customer donations can be seen in the Show Room at Steve Webb Models. SWM have a Aircraft and Heli simulator in the show room and anyone is welcome to use it. All we ask is a small donation in the chairty box provided.
