The big news in July 2010 – is that the 3rd generation WebBIT plan packs
– with parts cut by Belair – is now available. The Nigel Hawes mini review in the RCME July and August 2010 issues – shows Nige’s E.P conversion – just the thing for flying almost anywhere. The history of the WebBIT is detailed on the WebBIT listing, so we won’t go into it further – other than to say this model has a history and pedigree – if you want to get back into building and get a nice winter hack model ready – a WebBIT would be a good idea. There’s a way your Club could be a winner WebBIT in Motion Promotion. You could earn your Club or a Charity a £5 to £10 donation while having fun, building and flying a WebBIT
We have had good stocks of the Freewing EDF models arrive. Check them out in the Ripmax kits section. The large DH 60 Moth that has been designed for Ripmax by the late David Boddington This is is yet another masterpiece of design from one of the most prolific aeromodeller of our times. There is a fitting tribute to Boddo at the Model Flyer website
Here is a photograph of Steve Webb’s own DB Cirrus Moth built from the DB kit in 1982 - no doubt it was the excellent flying qualities of this one that helped create the bigger scale masterpiece made available by Ripmax. As most people will be aware - the U.K national VAT rate of 15 % increases to 17.5% on January 1st 2010. At Steve Webb Models and Servoshop we have decided to keep the majority of our prices the same, in effect we are paying the 2.5% VAT increase for our customers. We hope this will benefit our customers and also help us maintain good sales through January.Our customers support us and we try to support them! Because it's difficult to guess the economics of the immediate future - we cannot say how long we can maintain the lower VAT prices, we hope to continue with current prices with very few changes Through January 2010
The Longest Day 2009 - Fun was had by all!
On 22.12.2009 SWM had it's traditional longest trading/open day of the year (Open 9.30 am to 9.00pm) - 'The Longest Day!. Free mince pies and complementary seasonal drinks for our friends and customers and a general celebration of good will and SWM's way of saying thanks for the support - past and present. The SWM Team dressed up in Fancy Dress to help th day go with a giggle. Princess Leia (Prices Leia) was very popular and there was much laughter! I mean how often do you get to see a Tin of Spam demo a mSR helicopter! and sell an mSR Combo Deal

Maybe it's time to give those engines a service during the winter months. we can help with our bespoke Engine Test stand or our Wooden Test stand,this one is favoured by collectors as its harder to mark an engine with a wooden stand. Please note the mount is shown fixed to a Home Base Workd Bench ( our example only cost £14.50!)
There is no doubt on anyones mind that the Micro Helcopter that has moved the step up another level is the Blade MCX, it's available with Transmitter or as the Blade MCX without and can be operated by normal Spektrum 2.4 Ghz radios! The Vapor indoor model flys on the same system and we have an OFFER/PACKAGE for both models. In the package you get the Blade MCX with Transmitter and the Vapor without Transmitter ( as it works on the MCX transmitter).
